Gary is a third generation comedian, son of the late great Jimmy Marshall, of Granada TV's 'The Comedians' fame.
He turned pro in 1987 and toured with several comedians shows, acting as compere as well as throwing in the odd gag of his own to serve his apprenticeship.
He later toured with The Drifters at top venues such as Wembley Conference Centre, Sunderland Empire, Sheffield City Hall and the Glasgow Empire.
Gary has worked the length and breadth of the country, as well as entertaining the troops in Germany, Holland, Dubai, Muscat and Cyprus.
His TV credits include Sky TV's 'Stand and Deliver', ITV's 'Big Big Talent Show', Sky TV's 'The Comedians' and 'New Comedians', Bushell on the Box and Gary Bushell's 'Gaggin' for It!'
Gary is a hugely popular choice for sporting events and has spoken at many of the country’s biggest football clubs, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and his beloved Arsenal to name but a few.
He also specialises in hosting events and is in great demand as one of the finest MC’s on the circuit.
Award-winning comedian Rod Woodward has come a long way since his stand-up career began as a studio audience warm-up man for ITV Wales.
A finalist in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition at the The Edinburgh Fringe in his first year as a professional, Rod started to receive plaudits from such luminaries as Peter Kay and Barry Cryer.
After a successful solo run in Edinburgh, where he also wrote and presented the BBC 2W television series A Bit Off The Fringe, he fronted his own radio show, Doing It For A Laugh (BBC Radio Wales) and one off TV special Am I Talking To You? (BBC 1 Wales).
He was named Best Newcomer Variety and won the BBC Wales comedy competition Funny Business.
Then followed a real career highlight; being invited to appear at the London Palladium before William and Kate, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on the Royal Variety Performance.
His barnstorming performance led to a successful debut tour and a return to the iconic theatre for an appearance on ITV’s hit show Tonight At The London Palladium where he once again brought the house down.
He completed a hat-trick on the greatest stage on earth when he joined the very elite group of entertainers who have been invited back to the Royal Variety Performance, once again raising the Palladium roof in the presence of Harry and Meghan…Immediately after they retired from public service, not that he’s taking any credit for that!
His career continues to go from strength to strength with successful tour dates and radio and TV appearances including his own special Rod Woodward Live In Wales which aired on the BBC on St David's Day and I now available in BBC iPlayer.
